When it's Hot, add some Frozen Fruit to your Smoothie
Frozen Fruit in your Smoothies
Frozen fruit contains all the goodness of the fruit when it was freshly picked, at the time of freezing. Frozen fruit smoothies not only taste great and sweet from all the natural fruit sugars, but they are also energy packed and rich in Vitamin C and other nutritional goodies.
Smoothies are great all year round but especially good in summer, when there are plenty of fresh fruit to pick and blend into smoothies. If you can pick and blend local fruit, then this will have probably had less chemicals sprayed onto it than supermarket fruits. Seasonal fruits are good to use and if you cannot get organic fruits, then local market fruits make a great option.

Kiwi Fruits are good for you because...

Kiwi fruits are good for the digestion, being fibre rich, they help to prevent 'bad' cholesterol build-up and also to help eliminate waste products.
Fruit Smoothies contain Beneficial Nutrients
Anti-oxidants are beneficial nutrients - such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E - that help prevent damage to the body's cells and to also repair damage that has been done. Cells become damaged from pollutants or toxins we breathe in the air or from the environments in which we live as well as being taken into our systems by the foods we eat.
We can see examples of how oxygen in the air has an affect on substances around us, whether they are metal or living. For example, rusty water pipes or apples that quickly turn brown after cutting. Toxins and pollutants cause cell damage. Anti-oxidants help to minimize, prevent or slow down this damage.
Vitamin A, C & E are excellent anti-oxidants. Kiwi fruit, just like bananas, is packed with wholesome anti-oxidants. Try a smoothie today and add some great tasting frozen yoghurt or fruit for that extra nutritious drink.
